David Hopmayer was born and raised in Colorado Springs. During the economic downturn, David was laid off and struggled to find work. True to his entrepreneurial spirit, he decided to create his own employment opportunity and formed The Electric Way. David is adamant about actively working in the field as a way to model high standards for his employees and continue to foster personal connections with his customers.
Maria Hopmayer has been involved in The Electric Way, since her husband, David, first started the company in 2013. As his support system and voice of reason, she helped shape the company into what it is today and took on the official title of Chief Operations Officer in 2017. She enjoys spending time with her two children, using her creative skills to volunteer at their schools, and organize events.
Jessica Thompson has worked in various industries including for a manufacturing company, non-profits, and a law firm until finally joining The Electric Way in October 2018. As the Chief Marketing Officer, she enjoys using her creativity to develop The Electric Way and come up with new ideas to promote the company within our community. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys connecting with other female business owners in a local group called Uplift and volunteering in Monument, where she lives with her husband and 6 year old son.
Miraree Bradshaw is The Electric Way’s first Administrative Intern. As a recent high school graduate, she has mostly worked in the food service industry, but is excited to dive into her first office role as she answers phones, schedules appointments, and takes care of customers’ needs. Her favorite part of the role is being able to help people with their problems and focus all her attention on one customer at a time. Miraree is a native to Colorado and enjoys working on cars and hiking when she isn’t at work or school.
Travis Jensen spent 8 years as a wildland firefighter and 11 years building hiking and mountain biking trails. He became an electrician in 2003 and joined The Electric Way team in 2020. As the Company’s only full-time Estimator, he has stood out as a leader by taking on additional responsibilities and excelling in the field. In his spare time, he likes getting back to nature, Jeeping, mountain biking, and spending time with his daughters.
Vincent Magallan joined The Electric Way in November 2019, with the aspiration of beginning a new career as an Apprentice. Throughout the years, he not only completed the necessary training and schooling to earn his electrical license, but is now revered as an excellent teacher for new apprentices. Vincent’s responsible and reliable nature has been an invaluable asset to the Company. When he’s not at work, he enjoys basketball, whether that means playing or just watching it on TV.
Hunter Bentz was born in Colorado Springs. After living in a number of different states, he returned back to Colorado in 2014 and began his electrical career a few years later. As a residential wireman, he enjoys helping people solve their problems and providing them with such an essential utility. Outside of work, Hunter enjoys singing, playing D&D, playing ultimate frisbee, lifting weights, and anything that will help him prioritize a healthy body and mind.
Evan Hibner has lived in Colorado since 2017 and worked in the electrical industry since 2021. His favorite part of being an electrician is working with his hands and learning new things. Outside of work, Evan enjoys playing guitar, playing video games, and going to the gym.
Matthew Bershinsky is a Colorado Springs native who started his electrical career back in 2020 and has worked on more than 2 dozen commercial projects across the state. Before becoming an electrician, he was a professional fisherman for 3 years. His favorite part of the job is the practical application of electrical theory and electromagnetic principles. When Matthew is not working, he enjoys skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, rock climbing, and spending time with family.
Daniel Horval is originally from Ohio, but has been in Colorado since 2021. While he has only been working in the electrical industry since 2022, his strategic thinking and natural ability has helped him, not only move jobs along, but also innovate new solutions and efficient approaches to electrical installations. His favorite part of the job is solving electrical problems and helping customers better understand electricity. When he’s not working, Daniel enjoys hunting, hiking, camping, and long-distance shooting.
