David Hopmayer founded The Electric Way in 2013. He is a Colorado Springs native who has been working in the electrical field for over 15 years. David worked alongside many contractors over the years, and realized the electrical industry rarely focused on providing a high-quality customer experience, beginning to end. He wanted to change that. David created The Electric Way to make sure customers receive the electrical services they deserve, and it has always been his mission to exceed the expectations of every customer, every time. He continues to work in the field and in homes helping with electrical wiring and installations because of his passion for people. He is a genuine guy who wants to help in any way he can. He now lives that example for the growing company and demands these values be upheld at every level with every customer interaction, and with safety at the forefront. Even though David is still a pivotal leader for our team, supervising and training all our technicians, The Electric Way is majority female owned and operated. Maria, David’s wife, oversees the daily operations as Chief Operations Officer and Jessica, David’s sister-in-law, focuses on developing the local electrician company as the Chief Marketing Officer. Supported by the extensive business expertise of their Brother-in-Law, Dwight, The Electric Way has been able to put in place business policies, processes, and a solid foundation, while still focusing on bringing local, personalized service to your home. The Pikes Peak region isn’t just our business, it’s our home! We are deeply invested in supporting our community and various charitable organizations within it. Over the years, we have hosted food drives for Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado and supported events that benefited organizations like Tri Lakes Cares, CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, Partners in Housing, and American Warriors Initiative. David came by to give me a quote about 2 months ago while I was still under contract on my house. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Natalie helped schedule the job and was very understanding when I needed to change dates - no hassle at all! On the day of the job (a panel upgrade) Travis and Vincent showed up perfectly on time. Turns out the job was harder than expected due to the age of my home; there were a lot of on-the-fly decisions that needed to be made. I felt that they took my best interests into consideration when doing the installation even when things got harder. They still got everything done in one day even with helping me with some small other projects that were not part of the job. They left the site clean as well. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Good quality electrical work is never a bargain, but after my first experience with The Electric Way – a bath fan replacement, 2nd bath overhead light & switch, and a 240V outlet install – I can report their high quality work was an *excellent value*. Jake came up to the home in Woodmoor to scope the work, paying close attention to detail, asking & answering many questions. Daniel arrived a couple of days later and carried out Jake’s specs perfectly, adding helpful observations and recommendations. I’ve had many contractors at my home, with a major renovation in 2010 and many improvements since. I’ll put TEW among the best companies I’ve worked with. Very responsive, quick scheduling, on time and reliable, careful prep and cleanup, everyone personable and professional, very reasonable pricing, and most importantly the work was top quality and time-efficient (it matters, with contracting – Daniel’s focused work saved me $$$).
